FAQ

What days are you open throughout the year?
We are open Monday to Saturday 8.30am-5.30pm. Every Wednesday & Thursday throughout the summer we are open for shooting practice until 8pm. Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays.
What age can you start clay pigeon shooting?
There is no legal age limit. We allow children from the age of 9 years to shoot, but this can vary depending on the strength of the child.
Do you need to be a member to shoot?
No, everyone is welcome to come and shoot here at E.J. Churchill. We do offer membership which entitles you to discounted rates on shooting, clothing & accessories in the shop and access to exclusive invitation-only events.
Do I need to book or can I just turn up?
We do work on an appointment only basis for both lessons and caddied rounds. This does not need to be far in advance and we will always do our best to fit in last minute appointments.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes. You must give at least 48 hours notice if you are cancelling a booking otherwise you will be charged.
Is there a dress code?
We advise all our clients to wear comfortable outdoor clothing which is dependant on the weather. Suitable footwear such as trainers, walking boots or wellington boots are recommended. All our paths are hard-standing so even during winter the grounds don’t get muddy.
Do I need to bring any equipment with me?
No. We will provide you with all the safety equipment including hats, glasses and ear plugs. We also have guns to hire if you do not have your own. The cost of gun hire is included in a lesson and a charge of £10 is applied to your booking if you require a gun for a caddied round. Cartridges can be purchased at E.J. Churchill.
