The Churchill Challenge returns for 2025!
For a limited time only, take on the 100 target challenge from January through March for your chance to win your share of the £10,000 prize pot. You can shoot in the following categories - AA, A, B, C, Veteran, Ladies, Junior, Member and Disabled

The Churchill Challenge – Rules

It is a 100-bird clay pigeon shooting competition shot over 9 stands, incorporating a 20-bird sequence.

The competition runs from Tuesday, 7th January to Thursday, 27th March 2025*.

The entry fee is £54 per person with a re-entry fee of £49 (same day only) per person.

Cartridges must be no more than 28g 6.5 with NO wad restrictions.

Entries must be pre-booked.

The categories and the prizes are as follows:

1st – AA, A, B, C - £500
-
2nd – AA, A, B, C - £300
-
3rd – AA, A, B, C - £200
-
4th – AA, A, B, C - £150
-
5th – AA, A, B, C - £100

1st – Ladies, Juniors, Veterans, Disabled and Members - Prizes to be announced

2nd – Ladies, Juniors, Veterans, Disabled and Members - Prizes to be announced

3rd – Ladies, Juniors, Veterans, Disabled and Members - Prizes to be announced

Non-CPSA members will be classified for this competition only. Their classification will be calculated from the individual’s score over 50 pre-determined targets and their scores will be included within the classifications list.

If a non-CPSA member shoots the competition more than three times their classification will be determined by their average score over their first three shoots.

A junior is classified as a person under the age of 16 years of age on the day of entry.

A veteran is classified as a person over 65 years of age on the day of entry.

Unlimited entries are allowed per person, the highest score counts.

If a person is eligible to enter more than one category, that person must choose which category they are entering at the point of purchase prior to shooting.

Only one prize per person will be awarded.

No alternative prizes will be offered.

In the event of a tie, a countback will be used to determine the winner.

If a competitor wishes to appeal against the decision of a referee, they may do so to the shoot jury:

Mr. Rob Fenwick, Mr. Adam Davies and Mr. Nathan Holmes. There is a £50 charge for each appeal which will be refunded should the referee’s decision be overturned.

Results will be published at least once a week online via our website during the competition.
* The Churchill Challenge will not be available to shoot on CPSA Registered or BICTSF Competition days. Cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances will be at the discretion of E.J. Churchill
