
EVENTS ASSISTANT (HIGH WYCOMBE)
E.J. Churchill is one of the UK’s leading shooting grounds, operating across locations in England and Scotland. We welcome over 55,000 visitors each year and have hosted the World Clay Championships five times, reinforcing our reputation as a premium destination for shooting, hospitality and outdoor events.
We deliver more than 500 events annually for corporate clients, private groups, charities and shooting enthusiasts. These range from small hosted experiences to large-scale shoot days and brand events, alongside training for both aspiring and elite competitive shooters.

This role is ideal for a graduate or someone with up to two years’ relevant experience who wants to build a career in events. You will gain hands-on experience across planning and live delivery, working both in the office and on-site at one of the UK’s most respected outdoor venues.

The Role
You will support the planning, coordination and delivery of a wide range of events from early preparation through to event-day execution. This is a practical, people-facing role suited to someone who enjoys being organised, working outdoors and getting involved in the detail that makes events run smoothly.
You will be as comfortable preparing schedules and client information in the office as you are welcoming guests and supporting operations on busy event days. Flexibility, a positive attitude and a willingness to get stuck in are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Support the events team with planning and delivery of corporate, private and shooting events

Assist with event administration, schedules, documentation and diary management

Communicate with clients, suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery

Provide on-site support during events, including guest liaison and coordination

Assist with event set-up and pack-down, including guest areas, signage and equipment coordination

Support health and safety processes and compliance for live outdoor activities

Help coordinate event-day briefings and schedules with operational teams

Represent the business in a professional, friendly and approachable manner at all times

Experience & requirements

Previous experience in events, hospitality, customer service or marketing is beneficial but not essential

Graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply

An interest in events, sport or the outdoors is an advantage

Interest in shooting or country sports is desirable but not required

Comfortable working in a busy outdoor events environment

A full, clean driving licence is required due to the rural location
Working Hours & Environment

Five days per week, Monday to Friday, with rotated Saturdays

Time off in lieu is provided for weekend/additional hours worked

Occasional off-site event work required

Working hours will vary in line with event schedules, including occasional early starts or extended days during peak periods
