CPSA World English Sporting Championship

We are delighted to be hosting the prestigious CPSA World English Sporting Championship for a second year in June 2016.
The greatest event in the clay shooting calendar, the CPSA World English Sporting Championship returns to English soil in 2016. The CPSA are delighted to announce the continued support from one of England’s finest shooting grounds, E.J. Churchill.  This remarkable ‘festival of shooting’ will take place between the 20th and the 26th June 2016 in the glorious Buckinghamshire countryside.

The full week’s shooting will include the CPSA World English Sporting, World Sportrap, Prelim English Sporting, FITASC Sporting and a range of exciting supporting events.

We welcome spectators to join us during the week. We have a wide range of exhibitors in our event village as well as a selection of delicious food and drink options. We look forward to seeing you here!

Following the success of the CPSA English Open Sporting at High Lodge, the CPSA World English Sporting Championship will follow the new format of all squads starting on stand 1 on each of the courses.

E.J. Churchill based on the West Wycombe Estate has won many accolades including, best shooting ground in the UK in the IPC Shooting Industry Awards 2014 and will be celebrating 125 years in 2016. With a stunning 5,000 acre property set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the venue is justly proud of its long heritage and first-class facilities. The luxury of such vast acreage at your disposal is that the CPSA World English Sporting layouts will be entirely different from 2014, giving shooters a brand new challenge whilst upholding the quality experience E.J. Churchill has to offer.

A summary of the 2014 Championship…

As leaders in our industry and with one of the finest shooting facilities in the world, E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground was the perfect location for an event of this prestige. Particularly when coupled with the grandeur of West Wycombe Park, a totally unspoilt part of the British countryside which has been seat of the Dashwood family for over 300 years. West Wycombe Park was the location for the headline event, the World English Sporting Championship and also the exhibitor village.

We are immensely proud of the team here at E.J. Churchill who worked tirelessly in the lead up to and throughout the event to bring a memorable experience to all competitors and visitors in a spectacular and unique location.

Thanks must go to all our sponsors and the long-standing partners of E.J. Churchill – Toyota, Promatic, CCI, Polaris and All-4. Their support and dedication to us was invaluable throughout the whole process and beyond. Without them, an event on this scale would not have been possible to achieve and these brands demonstrate to the world that clay shooting is a serious sport enjoyed by thousands and that we are here to protect its legacy.
