A Day with London Wasps

Some of the lads from London Wasps tried sport of a different kind this week at E. J. Churchill. We were delighted to welcome some of the rugby team including Tom Varndell, Joe Simpson, Christian Wade and Phil Swainston for a day of clay shooting. Kitted out in the latest E. J. Churchill gear the players were raring to go, ramping up the pace of the banter almost as quickly as the rain was pouring! But despite the downpour the lads were in high spirits as they took to the stands, and you could certainly see their competitive streak escaping with each one determined to beat the other.

Teaming up with some of the UK’s sporting media including ESPN, The Independent, the Sunday Times and Sportsbeat, they soon learnt the basics from our expert instructors, with most firing clays into a thousand pieces as the unlucky few watched theirs fall to the ground intact.

A few surprise shots emerged from the day, with some proving to be quite the seasoned professional!

See the full coverage of their visit in The Independent on Sunday, the Sunday Times and the next edition of Buckinghamshire Life among others. We’ll announce the full list of coverage on Twitter so follow us @ejchurchill to keep up to date with all our news.
