When the British shooting season has come to an end there is still a chance to enjoy top quality driven game birds in Spain. With a season that runs from September until the middle of March the driven Spanish partridges provide game shooters around the world with a chance to extend their own shooting seasons.
Not only can these birds be shot in the warm Mediterranean sunshine but they also provide some of the most exciting driven game bird shooting in the world. Spain is the natural habitat of the Red Legged Partridge and the birds thrive here. The Estates E.J Churchill Sporting use for our driven partridge shooting programmes are a mix of released birds as well as wild ones but in the flurry of fast double-gun shooting it is almost impossible to tell the difference.
The Spanish hospitality is fantastic and our main Estate, some two hour's drive south-west of Madrid, in the hills near Salamanca, boasts an estancia to which clients want to return year after year.
The shooting in Spain is very varied and we are delighted to offer:-
- Double gun driven Red Legged Partridge shooting to teams of six to ten Guns
- Special four Gun packages
- Wild Boar hunting for the individual sportsman with the chance of great trophies
- Red Stag stalking in the hills near Salamanca
- Special trophy hunting including Ibex and Mouflon
Spain is obviously not just about driven partridge shooting; it is the whole experience of fantastic Hispanic hospitality coupled together with superlative sport and the benefit of the warm Mediterranean climate. A trip to Spain is a must for every driven game shooter's diary.
