Simulated Game Days
A Simulated Game Day is basically a game shoot without the game but with all the fun.
These days are rapidly growing in popularity as they offer all the fun and excitements of a game day with less expense. They also run throughout the year, enabling shooters to have some fantastic Summer sport and keepy their eye in for the upcoming shooting season.
We run our Simulated Game Days on the 5000 acre West Wycombe Estate, owned by the Dashwood family for over 300 years. The estate is less than an hours drive from London and is situated in the rolling Chiltern Hills with easy access from the M40 and M4.
The estate lends itself perfectly to simulated game shooting due to its steep, wooded valleys and high hedges. West Wycombe is also home to a fine driven pheasant and partridge shoot and we endeavour to keep our simulated drives as close to the real thing as possible. To achieve this we use a team of experienced staff to ensure our targets are varied, challenging and mimic the traits of live quarry as accurately as possible.
We meet at Fryers Farm Barn in the morning for coffee and a hearty breakfast before drawing pegs and heading to the first drive of the 5 challenging drives. Elevenses is served after the second drive in the grounds of West Wycombe House adn guests are given the opportunity to relax and soak up the atmosphere of the Italienate architecture and landscaped gardens. We stop for lunch, continue to shoot two further drives in the afternoon before returning to the shoot lodge for afternoon tea and drinks.
Most of our days are taken by experienced guns, however novices are more than welcome as long as they are accompanied by one of our instructors.
