grounds in Lane End.

Full time position, Tuesday to Saturday, would
suit fit and enthusiastic person with a love of the outdoors.

SENIOR INSTRUCTOR/GROUND MANAGER

This is a position of world wide standing within
both the game and clay shooting world.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Shooting

Main Purpose of Job:

The main focus of the role will be to act as the Senior Instructor for E.J. Churchill and promote this image whilst developing a solid client base.

This will include a “hands” on management approach of the grounds and associated staff, including course setting, new target development, overseeing maintenance and all the day to day tasks associated with the most prestigious and largest shooting ground in the UK .

To ensure the ground runs as efficient and smoothly as possible at all times whilst satisfying the needs of all parties involved.

In addition having a natural ability to sell to a diverse and loyal customer base and offering excellent service at all times is a must for this position.

The role will be Tuesday to Saturday but will require flexible working during busy periods (particularly in the shooting season) with late night shooting during summer months being an essential part of this position.


Main Duties and Tasks:

To promote, develop and carry out lessons and caddied rounds in order to building a loyal client base.

To take overall responsibility in absence of Adam Calvert for his duties.

To continue to develop new areas of instruction including Young shots, Schools and Ladies days.

To promote and sell all E.J Churchill products and services.

Manage the grounds themselves including all associated staff and equipment with particular focus on efficiency, tidiness and the overall presentation of the grounds to EJC clients.

Specific responsibility for all major and minor competitions (including the UK ’s largest clay shooting event), corporate events and charity shoots including course design and signage both on the shooting ground and at other shooting locations through the UK.

To manage both full and part time instructors and caddies.

Liaise with Jane Fenwick to ensure the effective and efficient running of reception with specific responsibility for bookings and effective use of staff.

Responsible for the all aspects of Simulated Game Days liaising with the marketing team to develop this area of the business.

Assist the Sporting Agent in marketing, hosting and selling game days.

To promote and carry out infield instruction which
can involve time away and lots of travelling.

Any other duties as and when required.
